20 trainee posts @ Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology

The Earth System Science Organization (ESSO) had embarked on a job-linked training programme in the field of Earth System Science in 2010. The programme is being hosted at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune.

Training at: Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology

Location: Pune

Position: Trainees (20 vacancies)

Training duration: 18 months

Stipend: Rs 25000 per month

Eligibility:

• B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME/MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, electrical or Electronics or any related Engineering Discipline.
• M.Sc/M.Tech/MS in Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, Atmospheric/Ocean/Earth/Planetary Sciences or equivalent.
• IIT-GATE/CSIR-UGC-NET score of 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012 will also be taken into consideration.
• Those appearing in final exams of B.Tech/M.Tech can also apply

Note: After the training, the trainees will be posted either in IITM or any other ESSO (Ministry of Earth Sciences) institutions as Scientists.
