Domus Academy was founded in Milan in 1982 as the first postgraduate design school in Italy, and as an open project focusing on the Italian Design and Fashion experience.

Programme:
  • Master in Marketing of Luxury Goods: The program aims to help participants to develop a global business vision, and solid marketing and managerial skills combined with the ability to dialogue with innovation and creativity. The Master focuses on the Luxury industry in a transversal way: from Fashion and Accessories, to Watches and Jewelry, Fragrances and Cosmetics, Design, Food, Spirits and Beverage, luxury Hospitality, Yachting & Automotive, etcetera.
  • Master in Visual Brand Design: The program will be carried out through workshops giving insights and first-hands experiences on themes such as the Value of Brand, Multimedia Brand Design, Metaproject for Brand Development, Infodesign and Magazine Design, Urban Branding, Storytelling as a Branding Tool. Short hands-on workshops on techniques such as traditional print and calligraphy will be held to increase the technical knowledge of the participants. The workshops will be held in cooperation with companies/ organizations operating within the creative industry, from design to fashion.
Portfolio submission:
  • Master in Marketing of Luxury Goods - September 2012: Send us your best project, concept or even realization: it can either be a communication campaign, a brand identity manual or program, a graphical interface, a visual signature system, a typographic work, or any other project that embodies a compelling visual brand experience.
  • Master in Visual Brand Design - September 2012: Candidates will identify a luxury company located in their home country that, in their opinion, has understood the recent evolution in the ways luxury brands and services are being consumed, and has started to implement the change. Candidates will analyze the levers (new brands, products or services, new distribution channels, new communication strategy, etc.) this company uses to succeed in maintaining its exclusive status while integrating the trend towards a more human and social consumerism.

Eligibility
: Candidates holding a first-level academic diploma or BA degree, or about to graduate within the academic year 2011/12 and with a knowledge of the English language (IELTS 5.0 academic or equivalent certificate).

Application process:
Marketing of Luxury Goods:
  • Project description: maximum 3 A4 pages, or a 10-slides
  • PowerPoint presentation (including pictures);
  • Curriculum vitae of the participant: maximum 1 A4 page;
  • Statement of purpose: maximum 5 lines on an A4 page.
  • The candidates are asked to send their materials in one sole file in .PDF format.
  • Any further attached material will be considered a plus and will be evaluated by the jury.
Visual Brand Design:
  • Written description of the project: maximum 3 A4 pages plus reference materials such as images, link to websites, videos, slide presentations.
  • The presentation technique is free according to the expressive skills of the candidate;
  • Curriculum vitae of the participant: maximum 1 A4 page;
  • Statement of purpose: maximum 5 A4 pages.
  • The candidates are asked to send their materials in one sole file in .PDF format.
  • Any further attached material will be considered a plus and will be evaluated by the jury.
Scholarships will range from 70 to 30 % of total tuition fee.
